Integral Theory as Self Distortion

re. Ken Wilber’s Integral Life Theory: Wikipedia.
The development of civilized maturity is a mechanical-cultural process of our minds set up to be increasingly entangled in the darkness of the machine and to systematically fight the darkness of that entanglement as our own human weakness and human weakness in general.
This means that our archetypal mythological development throughout life opportunistically uses the seething anger of our abominable mental slavery worked back into our human self as guilt and fear to further enslave our minds. Chronically ridden by dark emotion we falsely emulate the mythological “goodness” of the machine as sublime and heroic human self. However when we expose our dark emotions and use the seething anger of a dismally twisted mythology of self as “positive” emotion in denial of its true human-destructive nature, it becomes part of the raging fire driving the machine and consuming us: we are not facing our denial as Wilber claims. We are postively validating, rationalizing and reseeding it into ourselves and our children.
Civilized Culture has evolved that way. Our minds are utterly seduced to it. Ken Wilber’s Integral Life Practice (ILP) is the culmination and epitomy of machine culture as sublime unity universe before which nearly all of humanity lay prostrate. All Quadrants All Levels (AQAL) can be investigated as a powerful analogy of the structure of this disgusting shaman error to which civilized minds are now dismally subject and mentally enslaved. This is what Wilber means when he says “Aspects of shadow work pervade ILP” and “Shadow Work is Forever.” Indeed. It is the heart of technology as our mental parasite.

I am now starting to more fundamentally investigate the shaman-twisted perception of self so ingrained we do not even question it anymore, as epitomized in Wilber’s Integral Theory. The very rough areas of error ultimately fatal to the human animal, are 1) in the upper left (UL) quadrant the “I” or self as having freewill and homunculus with imaginary sublime-psychological responsiblity historically derived from all manner of god-sublime shamanism 2) the pathological delusion of the collective quadrants first split as “we” as culture and “its” as civil/social and then in further theory integrated as “its” in which, for the sake of internal and external “developmental integration,” the collective assimilates the human collective element. … much more of this to follow in coming weeks. (we can already see Freudian psychology everywhere in here – although I think Freud was also a culmination of what is already in the common machine mind mythology.)
The Shadow as a Seductive Poison of Myth

The Dark Shadow
Civilization, or what I call, “The Machine” is a very dense, dark shadow in all of us. Why are we not aware of it? It is because the central human-manipulating archetype in civilization’s shaman mythology known in Psychology as “The Shadow,” goes a long way to covering it up.
“The Shadow” as mythological archetype is a necessary civilizing fiction especially established in early development stages of human minds as machine mind. “The Shadow” is what Jungian Psychology and since Freud and Jung, mainstream Psychology erroneously defined as repressed weaknesses, shortcomings and instincts, (portrayed as base and human). The Shadow Myth in itself contributes to the darkness of the machine. In early development, the machine wants us to chronically repress and gradually start to project this darkness onto and into each other and into the machine, as a moving Dark dynamic to always have to be uncovered and overcome in later development, to be made conscious as an ever-present personal human animal shortcoming.
As members of “society” sic. we then have the “SOCIAL” RESPONSIBILITY to consciously acknowledge and address OUR Shadow throughout our lives as a matter of self-meditative practice. This fundamental self-deprecating mechanism is an institutional requirement for “maturity” of enslaved civilized minds in all civilization, not only the East. The very loose popular Freudian label for this “social” demand, is “overcoming the Ego.” More complete for me in the Freudian psychology: Id, Ego and Superego work as complementary pseudo-archetypal components of mythological fiction in our seduction.
The Golden Shadow
The story gets worse. Not only does the machine institute, repress an opportunistically revisit its own accusation of our weaknesses and guilt. In our elaborate characterizations of our self in early childhood development, it also institutes and represses the so-called ”good qualities.” As The Shadow, the mythological good and bad together form an organically self-organizing dynamic opportunistically manipulating the human mind as machine mind, in interplay of delusional tales of villainous guilt and heroic redemption.
The machine thus also defines our repressed good side in the maturity/enlightenment mythology as The Golden Shadow in us. This golden part of our archetype is the opportunity to ascribe to the human element gross exaggerations and lies about specific, functional kinds of human intelligence, beauty, freewill and agency in a civilizing process in which our human animal potential has been utterly compromised and we are actually near-complete robotic zombies.
The apex validation of human-fatal contradiction in leadership technology

The world needs more conscious leaders. That’s just such a no-brainer to me, so every possible practice I encounter to help develop that becomes seed for thought about how it can be used. The question then arises about how you develop …the ability to hold paradox. On the one hand, there’s the lived experience, where the lived experience of the world is so undeniably, fundamentally one in which one moves constantly through the paradoxes we face that one is forced to hold it, or else go insane or into denial.
Existence is not paradoxical. It is unity. The abominal mental slavery of humanity as machine-mind bristles with paradox = read, mendacity and delusion. To hold paradox is apex validation of the lie that machine is human and denial that the human mind is down on the plate no matter how our legs are kicking and we are up for lunch. Also, note the primary paradox we have been ultimately seduced to hold: that we are simultaneously everything and anything, so as to be able to shift into any rationalization, in satisfying the demand of assimilating the self as optimized universe.

From a leadership development perspective, this isn’t exactly a credible or viable thing to relate to executives grappling with the realities they’re facing in this increasingly complex, turbulent, ambiguous, fearful marketplace. What are the practices that offer perspective taking? Big Mind, amongst others, certainly does—and it does so in a very unique way.
This quote shows glaring denial about the parasitic to predatory nature of the acceleration of natural selection in terms of memetic code, in the way it demands that we develop as optimal productivity machines, instead of fundamentally dismantling and restructuring a rising dystopian technological singularity. The natural selection of memetic code, or the competitive proliferation of ideas, is the genetic structure of the evolution of the machine.
Note:
The inherent paradoxical fertility of meaning making in civilized development is that it divides and conquers. A point conveniently ignored is that in the early civilized developmental stages, children are indeed implored to develop an intricate self as object.
When Einstein says that the problems of this world can’t be solved at the same level of consciousness that created them, I believe that an implication of his words means that issues can’t be solved from the place of polarity and paradox but from the place of increasing the tension, making cleaner the distinctions, in order to then include and transcend them.
So, this is how shallow the mendacity is. We cannot see the mechanically binary nature of the exercise. To transcend perspective holding, we 1) sharply accentuate two or just a few perspectives, usually in the thesis-antithesis-synthesis form. 2) test it in the world 3) modulate errors. We do not realize that we have lived and thought the emergence of an artificial virtual symbolic world in which paradox is prime, and the emergence of a world of increasing turbulence and accelerating change is the underlying dynamic. Hence the demand that leadership conciousness be so BIG on holding so-called “paradox.”
And in conclusion, a homy quote to illustrate the delusion of the happy Zen vibration, the general nature of the civilized human condition as mind-pleasuring into unconsciousness, …. known as “consciousness.”
He (The Zen master) holds the space of the voices themselves, creating a subtle resonance that we key into on an intuitive level, while also holding the space of all voices at once from the space of the truly Big Mind with grace and compassion. He mindfully moves with flow and adapts precisely to where everyone is in a roomful of people. I guess they don’t call someone a Zen Master for just any old reason.

We Are the Followers

Humans do want to follow. Stage development is natural.* However, the kind of stage development that civilized minds are engaged in is very unnatural, dishonest and delusional, for being geared to follow the evolution of technology of all kinds. Overlapping examples of technology: memetic-cognitive (ideology, dialectics, rewiring of our brains), symbolic (beauty, love, freedom, liberty, integrity, responsibility, guilt, crime, punishment) methodological (religious and social ritual, the scientific method), material (the dynamic allure of houses, cars, computers, internet, travel, gadgetry) and globally systemic (trade, civilization, internet, infrastructure).
*Stage development and leadership: we tend to want to follow the emotional interactive lead of our mother, then that of other caretakers, then that of the attitude of our same-level peers and that of immediately more mature peers at the next stage up from where we are, institutions, our own philosophy, the whole dynamic of philosophies, and the universe as unity. We trust it, no matter if it is bio-nature based or machine.
All civilized minds, from the basic civilization of hunter-gatherers to cutting-edge supernerd societies have the same basically wrong story-telling shaman structure. It is this structure we must study, to know how it can be restructured. The wrong structure is shaman meaning making – essentially a continuous life-long seduction of the human mind in terms of artificial development through technological stages. In the early societies from around 80,000 years ago, or as soon as humans developed language fluency, shaman stories have conveyed a belief in a host of potent spirits in nature, setting the tone for a vast mystical mythology, both religious and secular.
I think this wrong developmental structure is seated in symbolic language and speech. It is in the sound, cadence, structure and semiotics of language. The delusional use of logic is subject to speech. So, linguistics to me is the most important study, and then the study of individual development as a visceral recapitulation in each individual of the development of civilization. Finding out how language and civilized development are wrong will go a long way towards ensuring the survival of the human animal species.
Our Life-destroying Mindset

Hans Rosling effectively only poses at solving a problem. He does not realize how hypothetical his perception is. His presentation is abstract, binary, quantitative and digital. Note how smugly he and his audience conclude with the sentiment that the Western model should be the foundation of a brave new world! The story that it is analog is nonsense. His perception is not relatively blind, as if against some perfect vision! It is completely blind. The phenomenological map he uses is totally unrepresentative of the world. It is right to think of ideal “truth” as a pipe-dream. However, misdirected problem solving is exactly about such brave new truth.
My understanding is that in a progressive, interacting global dynamic as humanity are engaged in, there is no ultimate truth other than terribly shortsighted (closed system or axiomatic) truths: and nearly all so-called problem-solving is similarly shortsighted or bigoted for being out of place. Problems at the scale of the subject of this clip is anything but conducive to home and garden type of problem solving. The delusion that there can be effective progressive problem solving at the global scale is reflected in the accelerating decimation of the biosphere.
So what about conservation and alternative energy, etc? The most well-meaning green measures are token – and dismally too little too late. The machine is split in blindly specialized engines so the whole rolls on. Rosling does not seem to realize that from a human animal perspective the kind of nonsense he is talking is symptomatic of technological singularity by artificial intelligence long ago integrated in our brains and now increasingly transcending our brains. For instance, he promotes production, consumption and capitalism by parading esoterically abstract positives like individual wealth, sustained population and child survival. He sees civilization as a human-directed project, and not as the mechanically, self-organizing cosmic emergence that it is. In this and other shortsightedness he is inadvertently engaged in the kind of chronic perceptual distortion driving humanity into posthumanism, which is the extinction of humanity.
Skeptical philosophy of the kind I express, in full and not token awareness of the vacuity of reason, may yet be the way to get out of the mess. Widespread realization and development of my theme may rationally slow down, scale down and shut down the kind of civilization now driving the well-meaning but twisted and overheated, life-destroying mindset in the world.
Human Existence and Free Will as Universal Wave Structure in Space

Wave Structure of Matter describes a finite universe in an infinite space, which is a medium for the transmission of energy by quantum wave-dynamic, as the fundamental structure of all matter. All matter everywhere in infinite space has a finite spherical universe around it, which determines it directly, with radius, R. All matter is always in the exact center of its own finite spherical universe. This is called the Hubble Universe. For every clump of matter less than R distant from each other, their Hubble universes overlap incompletely but when they are beyond R distant from each other, their Hubble universes do not overlap. The significance of this follows …
Within every Hubble universe matter reciprocally determines the nature of all other matter because they mutually reverberate (fundamentally as actual standing waves) in (infinite) space as 3-D matrices consisting of 3-D points (each analogized as a quantum particle) each point being where many quantum energy waves each originating in all other such points along the path of its transmission, all moving at the speed of light in all directions in infinite space, cross each other … in this way all matter sharing some of their Hubble universe can “sense” each other.
Questions here for me 1) about the most fundamental relationship between the standing waves and moving waves, or is it an abstraction only? 2) What are the energy quantum wave transmissions (if any) under the horizon of light?
Some of this energy transfer is direct. Some of it is indirect. Transmission of energy through the wave structure of infinite space is minutely incomplete, as if there is a very slight spatial haze, which is the reason for the finiteness of Hubble universes. Clumps of matter in the infinite space are less visible to each other the closer the distance between them gets to a distance of R. They are blind to each other if they are further away from each other than R. However, a very small amount of directly invisible information does get through indirectly, both from beyond R and the shielded information closer than R.
… so I will more widely consider the historical philosophical questions of Free Will, Choice, Purpose, Morality and Human Existence and reconsider that mindstorm against the new question for me of finite information of the finite Hubble universe in the establishment of all existential energy (matter), being incomplete relative to the infinite information of WSM theory’s infinite space. The main question is whether this constitutes a non-deterministic window in general determinism.
I also want to hear Geoffrey Haselhurst’s position on the question of why the universe is mildly teleological (has purpose) against my view that it is only teleonomical (has only the appearance of purpose to us). I want to know if and how Geoff translates this appearance of human purpose into a characteristic of the fundamental structure of the universe. What is the relationship between free will, choice, and purpose, etc? How does Geoff differentiate between direct and indirect transmission of existential information? What is his view of the mind-world dichotomy?
Assimilation Beyond the Pale

I think it is essential to think about the reality of reality. Thinking, speaking and writing are all dynamic variations of a symbolic code or a concentration of material things constituting information about material things, a self-referential system – a short-cut form of energy-for-change/evolution, which I call “memetics.” Here energy in the sense that all matter is a form of energy or pure information. In that context, memetics is the genetic code of something that can be seen as other than us, namely technology, which in the stories/mythology of memetics we now transhumanistically also call human. Memetics is the genetic code of the machine as genetics is the genetic code of life. And yes, we can live without writing, speaking and thinking, although we are indirectly in its referential loops, more indirectly than phenotype is in the loops of genotype: more like food matter in the gut.
So where exactly is the best place for mildly intelligent life forms like human animals in this memetics-machine loop? That is the question we must ask ourselves, once we realize that we are participating in the destruction of our own species by our blind industry in emergence and propagation of machine-assimilating-us? Or should we and can we domesticate memetics and machine, to make it animal human-friendly for the first time since our ancestors could speak fluently? Writers and lovers of words and meaning surely have that responsibility to their species?
As knowers of words we surely have the responsibility to not become too enamored of these progressive experiments? Maybe reality lies deeper than the shamans have been telling us? Maybe what is important is life, so important, that we cannot know it really: we are so subjectively in it. Maybe paradoxically the only thing we can know is the fundamental structure of the universe, which we cannot see, and which is not any teleological god, but the unifying mechanical structure of matter. I hope I am not being beyond the pale. After all, matter matters, and pales are the sticks making the enclosures for our minds, traditionally to keep predators out, but what if the body of memetics, to which institutions belong, is the real predator of humanity?
Übermensch, Archetype Myth and Superswarming

I made the following statement:
I understand my “opinion” is unpopular for not being a superswarm. The superiority of numbers is what Nietzsche intuitively sensed when he coined the term “Übermensch.”
Paul Stevenson then proudly commented that he knows that Nietzsche’s word Über(mensch) translates as Over and not Super.
- Several points come to mind.
- My use of “super” in reference to “Über” is naturally indirect, because of the lack of one-to-one reference, but more importantly, since I am talking about a superpotent overarching / surreptitious underlying determination I categorize as superswarming.
- The word Über has no direct translation in English, due to linguistic, temporal and personal context, and the word Mensch really has no translation at all, a combination of human and humanity and the singular of people* being the closest, and man being traditional.
- Nietzsche saying that “man” is something that should be overcome, is due to stereotyping. Nietzsche’s scorn of humanity is a case of mistaken identity, because mythic archetype is not human. It is shaman myth.
- Nevertheless, Nietzsche’s intention is secondary to my observation. I am referring here to the determination of Nietzsche’s meaning by the human innate underlying cosmic pattern or what Carl Jung coined “collective unconscious,” as being subject to a kind of dispersed dynamic-fractal superswarming. Not as mythological archetype, which is an erroneous interpretation of Jung’s book, The Archetypes and the Collective Unconscious .
- My point is that Nietzsche is already subconsciously gravitating to a post-heroic mythology of humans simultaneously assimilated as the emerging technological-cosmic singularity and as the infinitude of its smallest granularity nothingness.
- Here also important that Wittgenstein said that language meaning is seated in the function of words: and the function of meaning in our time is pervasively cultural-collective.
- Representativeness heuristics being common to all communicating organisms does not mean that civilization’s archetype mythology is human innate. It is an indication that human shortsightedness is so wide open to systemic manipulation, the process is consuming us.
- Nietzche, Jung and social contract civil interpretation dismally overplay actual human operational agency in the civil process and underplay self-organizational cosmic forces like memetic superswarming.
- NOTE: even deeper than the analogy of superswarming is the analogy of the universe as dynamic three-dimensional standing wave structure.
- If social contract shamanism has indeed taken over and dominates all world language, then archetypal characteristics in all peoples worldwide, irrespective of language spoken is not an indication that mythological archetype is congenital and should be included in Jung’s human collective unconscious
- Today the social contract shamanism-generated body of mythology has shifted from a very recently well-defined hierarchical construct to a construct of accelerating differentiation, in unconscious reflection and anticipation of the utter disintegration of the human holon.
- There is fatal confusion in the perception of what is human, and the confusion of overcoming humanness now actually widely expressed as transhumanism, and the dismal attitude that “human,” whatever meaning it takes moment-to-moment, can become ever bigger and better, and that we can be super in a superswarm, and blissfully posthuman.
